Phase One of the JSWB Global Home Furnishings Center opened in September 2007, featuring 200,000 square meters of excellent showroom space both for retail and B2B business. Some 225 domestic and international brands are already well established here, and two international furniture fairs have successfully been held at the Center.
JSWB has gathered industry delegations from numerous countries at the Center, and has organized designer events and awards ceremonies. These have been widely covered by national, regional and local TV and other media.
The first JSWB International Furniture Sourcing Fair was held in September 2007, in conjunction with the opening of the Center. There were some 300 exhibitors, including our permanent tenants. The Fair attracted some 30.000 visitors over 5 days, out which 6.000 were foreigners from more than 100 countries from all continents.
The second JSWB Furniture Sourcing Fair was held in September 2008, and could offer facilities and an environment that were further enhanced since the opening of the Center a year earlier. There were some 375 exhibitors, including our permanent tenants. In line with other international furniture fairs during the fall of 2008, there was a decline in the number of visitors. However, the Fair still attracted some 20.000 visitors over 5 days, out which nearly 3.000 were foreigners.
Both Furniture Fairs have been supported and co-sponsored by Furniture Associations in Taiwan, Hong Kong and China.
ZOW Shanghai, the Business Platform for Furniture Components and Interior design, was held at the JSWB Global Home Furnishings Center for the first time in September 2008. ZOW attracted some 4000 visitors to its dedicated Exhibition Hall during the Fair.
